75 hours Nurse Aide Instruction

This course is designed to meet the training requirements of the 1987 OBRA for nurse aides/CNA's working in nursing facilities.  It teaches the student to provide safe, effective care of the resident by acquiring a basic level of knowledge and skill.  It is composed of 50 hours of classroom instruction and 30 hours of clinical experience.  Emphasis is placed on providing resident with comfort, privacy, and safety.

Refund Policy: You may cancel your registration up to 3 business days prior to the start of the program to receive a full refund. After that, no refunds will be issued. If you don’t cancel and don’t attend, you remain responsible for the payment. Clinical Site, Date and Time is subject to change. At the completion of this course you will be required to take state testing at the Davenport Urban Campus. Testing will consist of a written/computer test ($60.00) and a skills test ($115.00) and this will put you on the Direct Care Worker Registry. More information will be given to you on the 1st day of class.
