This 10-Module series defines the basic building blocks for an effective communication process at any frontline leadership or supervisory level, including achieving mutual understanding between the sender and receiver. Following this course, students will be able to: understand the importance of organizational values to improve communication and team-building; prepare and deliver a message that explains an organization’s defined standard of behavior; prepare and deliver a constructive feedback message when the employee’s behavior is not meeting the defined standard; provide a strategy for handling disruptive emotional behavior; and prepare and deliver a positive recognition message that reinforces employee behavior that meets or exceeds the defined standard.
Then final 5 modules then continues the skill development through additional learning including: clearly define an employee’s roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations so that the employee understands what to do in order to meet or exceed performance expectations; provide a strategy to improve communication between employees in order to resolve their conflicts; prepare for and execute a performance discussion that reinforces the employee’s strengths and identifies opportunities for improvement.
