ICE RESCUE is an 8 hour program that prepares the emergency first responder to safely respond to and carry out a surface ice rescue. The classroom lecture will introduce the student to topics including ice formation and hazards, equipment selection, medical consideration and the application of various rescue methods. A field exercise will be conducted using the tools and methods introduced to the students during the classroom portion of the program. This class in current with NFPA 1670 Standards.
