This class provides foodservice managers with basic sanitation principles, ways to apply them in practical situations, and methods for training and motivating employees to follow good sanitation practices. An approved SERVSAFE Course. Successful completion of this class will fulfill the demonstration of knowledge requirement under the new Iowa Food Code. This class also fulfills Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification (FSSMC) as required in Illinois and the sanitation requirement for chef certification by the American Culinary Federation, Health Facility Foodservice Supervisors and the School Nutrition Association (SNA).
