This course is designed to meet the training requirements of the 1987 OBRA for nurse aides / CNA working in nursing facitlities.  It prepares the student to provide safe, effective care of the resident by acquiring a basic level of knowledge and skill.  It is composed of 30 hours of online, 15 hours of skills instruction, and 30 hours of clinical experience.  Emphasis is placed on providing the resident with comfort, privacy, and safety.

If you don’t cancel and don’t attend, you remain responsible for the payment. Clinical Site, Date and Time is subject to change. At the completion of this course you will be required to take state testing at the Davenport Urban Campus. Testing will consist of a written/computer test ($60.00) and a skills test ($115.00) and this will put you on the Direct Care Worker Registry. More information will be given to you on the 1st day of class.
