Do you want to eat more fish, but have no idea how? Are you afraid of getting dry or chewy results? Do you want to know how to add delicate flavor that compliments the fish? Some fish are firm and some are soft; which dish is best for which fish and then what do you pair it with? The great news is, cooking fish properly really isn’t that hard, once it is demystified. During class you will learn the differences between lean and oily fish. You will also learn how to retain moisture when cooking fish and how to test fish for doneness. By understanding just a few key fundamentals, you can ensure moist, juicy, delicious fish, every time. We will cook and taste three different preparation methods for fish, highlighting the omega-3s that fish are so famous for: broiling, baking in parchment and poaching. You will go away confident; cooking fish for yourself or guests. Instructor Dr. Teresa Pangan is a health enthusiast and culinary nutritionist, passionate about preparing and eating delicious foods that nourish your body.
