« back to classes page
Participants will be able to approach poetry as an activity anyone can enjoy, rather than fearing it. We will read poems that focus on everyday life and experiences rather than poems that are traditionally considered “difficult” by non-academics. Students will learn that poetry comes from everywhere, even the mundane. Class will end with writing time and students will be encouraged to consider submitting their work to the Ink Well or other literary magazines or journals.
