After completing this class, attendees should be comfortable with basic operating system navigation, including managing files and folders, using search functions, and organizing their digital workspace. This includes knowing how to create, rename, move, copy, and delete files as well as understanding file extensions and basic file types. Attendees will have an understanding of common productivity applications like word processors, spreadsheets, and presentation software. They can also understand how to save work in different formats and share files appropriately. Attendees should know how to effectively search for information online, evaluate source credibility, and manage email including using attachments. Attendees will also learn password best practices, recognize suspicious sharables, know why software updates matter, and have a general sense of how to protect their personal information online. They should be comfortable with digital communication and collaboration tools, and how to work with others in digital spaces. Finally, attendees should have some questions prepared, if they have any, for extra exploration.
