Basic LIfe Support Instructor Essentials

This course is designed for healthcare professionals wanting to become Basic Life Support Instructors for the American Heart Association.
Participants will learn the most current American Heart Association Guidelines, requirements, materials, teaching techniques in order to instruct BLS and Heartsaver level courses.  Instructor candidates must have a current AHA BLS Provider course completion card and be at least 18 years of age. Candidates must also complete the AHA BLS Essentials Course online and bring certificate of completion to class. Objectives:
1.  Identify discipline specific course formats and course completion requirements.
2.  Identify discipline specific course record requirements and class management.
