This course is based on the most current American Heart Association Guidelines which is designed for previously PALS trained healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies in children/infants. Identify children/infants at high risk and prevent cardiopulmonary arrest; 2. Carry out BLS skills on children/infants and integrate into a resuscitation sequence; 3. Carry out skills using various emergency equipment to resuscitate and stabilize pediatric cases in respiratory failure, shock or cardiopulmonary arrest; 4. Recognize families and providers coping with emergencies and death.
