Magic: The Gathering: Strategy and Gameplay Basics

Step into the world of Magic: The Gathering and discover one of the most popular strategy card games ever created. In this beginner-friendly course, you will learn the fundamentals of gameplay, including casting spells, managing resources, understanding card types, and developing winning strategies. Through guided instruction and hands-on matches, you will practice making decisions, evaluating risk, and adapting your plans as the game unfolds. 

As your skills grow, you will explore the basics of deckbuilding and learn how different cards and strategies work together. You will analyze game situations, improve your understanding of probability and resource management, and gain confidence through friendly competition. 

A starter deck is provided for every student, and additional cards will be available through in-store card pools. Optional purchases may be made to enhance your deck, and an optional draft event is available for approximately $15 in materials. The course concludes with you competing using your own custom-built deck.
