MSHA Annual Refresher training (Part 48) is a mandatory 8-hour course required every 12 months for miners to maintain compliance, focusing on safety, hazard recognition, and emergency procedures. Subpart A covers underground mines, while Subpart B covers surface mining and surface areas of underground mines. Training must cover specific health/safety standards, including ventilation, first aid, and emergency plans.
** NOTE: This class is offered over the Zoom video webinar platform which will allow you to participate with your instructor and other participants just like you would in a real classroom environment. This online training also requires a smartphone, tablet, or computer with internet access and audio and video capabilities.
