This course introduces the operations within process technology industries, focusing on the practical aspects of running and managing industrial processes. Students will explore the principles of process operations, including start-up, shutdown, normal operations, and emergency procedures. Emphasis is placed on understanding process flow diagrams, operating procedures, and the importance of safety and regulatory compliance.
Site visits will be supplemented by one in-person discussion every other week.
