This session will introduce you to tips and techniques to improve business writing, especially communication via email. You will learn about common mistakes and be given opportunities to practice. By the end of this interactive workshop, you will be able to: 

  • Identify and write for your intended audience. 

  • Explain the importance of identifying the purpose of the message: inform, respond, or persuade. 

  • List six components of quality business writing skills and which ones you should address in your own writing. 

  • Understand examples of common grammar errors found in business writing. 

  • Know when and how to use AI tools such as Grammarly and CoPilot to improve your writing. 

  • List examples of common email errors and how to correct them.
