Parent/Substance Abuse Prevention

ID : 167
« back to classes page
In a very short time children and parents will begin to understand their own personality styles and develop a greater understanding of each other. This in turn will stimulate positive interaction between them. We learn how to parent from watching our parents, who learned from their parents. Many of the skills that have been passed on are less than adequate, in today’s world of increasing outside influences. This courses approach to parenting is based on consequences and assists parents to counteract negative behaviors with methods that are non-threatening, effective and build responsibility.
